How to Activate Electricity

For new students who do not have social security numbers, please follow the instruction below

Fax the following documents to DTE at 1-888-386-6955 and please write at the top "Care of: Grand Rapids Credit Center, Attention: New Service":

1. Copy of Passport
2. Copy of Lease or Rental Agreement
3. Allow 48 hours for processing
4. For Customer Service, call 1-800-477-4747

*Letter of Verification of Financial Support possibly available from International Center
